I am sitting in my living room literally snowed in because we just got several bazillion inches of snow. It is beautiful outside, but here’s the thing. I have already been fighting off Spring fever.
In an effort to stay hopeful I have been poking around the Canoecopia website. Canoecopia is the destination of an annual pilgrimage many of us water sport enthusiasts take. Hosted by Darren Bush and staff of Rutabaga, an outdoors sports store, in Madison, WI, Canoecopia is a convention like no other. This wonderland takes place Friday, March 9-11, 2012.
You will find booth after booth of boats and gear for sale. Go visit Dan Cooke and team from Cooke Custom Sewing. They have the best canoe camping gear made right here in Minnesota. There are also countless displays of resorts and national and provincial parks all staffed with experts who will help you plan your trips. Did I mention the numerous tables of tasty treats, jewelry and books? On top of all that there are over 100 quality presenters showing up with trainings on anything and everything one could possibly want to learn about regarding outdoor adventures.
One of the presenters is my handsome hubby David Morlock from Morlock Photography!
Also performing is our friend Jerry Vandiver. I have included his video of his song “Camp Coffee.” This morning it is helping me envision, smell and even taste warmer weather and one of my loves, camping in the Boundary Waters.
So you know I gotta say it…it’s the coach in me! If you are feeling blah about something today, you have the ability to get out of it. Find the inspiration you need to change your mindset. If you are finding this difficult, call me up. I have a nice cold snowbank to throw you in. That should wake you up at least!
